Niccolò Scaffai insegna Critica letteraria e letterature comparate all’Università degli Studi di Siena, dove dirige il Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca Franco Fortini in Storia della tradizione culturale del Novecento. Si è formato alla Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. Ha insegnato dal 2010 al 2019 Letteratura contemporanea all’Università di Losanna, dove ha diretto il Centre Interdisciplinaire d’Études des Littératures (CIEL) e fondato il Pôle de recherche sur l’Italianité (RecIt). È membro del direttivo della rivista “Between”.

Niccolò Scaffai teaches Literary Criticism and Comparative Literature at the University of Siena, where he directs the Franco Fortini Intra-departmental Research Centre of History of the Cultural Tradition of the Twentieth Century. His alma mater is the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. From 2010 to 2019 he taught Contemporary Literature at the University of Lausanne, where he directed the Centre Interdisciplinaire d’Études des Littératures (CIEL) (Intra-disciplinary Centre for Literary Studies) and founded the Pôle de recherche sur l’Italianité (RecIt) (Research centre for Italian Culture). He is a member of the governing board of the journal Between.
